About me. Well…that one isn’t an easy response as my life has been lived in chapters. Luckily most of them have been great! I’ll give you the highlights.

I got lucky at the age of 16 when my husband moved in next door. I asked him out the day after I met him and 4 years later we were married. That was 43 years ago. As I said, I got lucky.
6 years later we had our first son with another one 2.5 years later. With encouragement from my husband, I stayed home to raise the boys, but I began to write. Historical romance novels. My absolute passion! I wrote one book that was filled with every cliché, overblown sentence, and essentially every mistake possible. However, I learned how to write through that experience. My next book got me an agent, then sold to the best Editor EVER! I signed a 3 book deal with Pocket books.
8 published novels later, I decided to go back to a steady job as writing only paid twice a year and I had a son starting college. Needing a steady paycheck was quite the motivator as my earning potential in the corporate world was strong. Again, I got very lucky and landed a great job that helped put both our boys through college.
My husband and I started traveling, a passion that we both love. Our future was all planned out as we work toward retirement, only a few years away. Unfortunately life decided to throw another curve ball at me, so here I am, starting this blog, and trying to build a community where we can all support each other through these challenging times. If the predications are right, rougher times are coming.
Let’s all hang on together!
